I love the seaside

Fresh mackerel for lunch today from the fish market on the Stade. I notice there's three, so I reckon the humans can share the little one between them and I can have the other two. Sounds perfect.

How nice! I have been having yummy fresh salmon lately too. Oh, so your mum comes from the lovely beaches. Mine used to spend all her school holidays up that stretch of coast too, but that was a LONG time ago. There were some glorious beaches and lagoons around. She used to hang around the Byron Bay beaches more than those of the Gold Coast but all have become unrecognizably commercialized and she laments the passing of that beach bum era. Although she sails with her neighbour occasionally but she no longer surfs and her skin is several shades lighter than those 'bronze' days.
