Here's a nice story for the weekend ...

This is Minnie, she lives with some nice people in the country and was feeling a bit lonely during the day when her humans were at work (I know the feeling) ...

So they went to their local pet rescue shelter and found

Cookie Monster ...

and Cleo ....

Now Minnie's not lonely anymore and Cleo and the Cookie Monster have a nice happy home to live in. Purr FAZ

T-Cubed Toosday - Top Tip

Here's a Top Tip for your claws:

As all my cat pals know, it's important to keep your fur shiny, your teeth clean and your claws sharp.

My favourite way to get a good pedicure is to find a nice piece of furniture (like my favourite chair above) and then use the arms and back to sharpen your claws and keep them trim.

As you can see from this picture, fabric is particularly good for this as it is very pliable and it's easy to get your claws between the threads - this helps with the cleaning and gives extra shine too.

Don't worry if you pull a few threads - this shows the humans that you are really taking care of yourself and will make them happy.

It wasn't me!

I got into trouble for something I didn't do over the weekend. It really wasn't my fault. I found a dead baby bird on the ground (I think it's mummy and daddy pushed it out of the nest for some reason). It's eyes were still closed and it was very scrawny and small.

I took it inside to the show the boy human and he got really upset and cross with me cause he thought I had taken it from it's little nest. Then he realised that I couldn't actually reach the nest because it was in the eaves. I hope he feels guilty about blaming me.

p.s. I must confess that I did kill the little mouse left in the hallway last night.

Does this happen to you guys?

The humans have got this stuff in a little vial which is supposed to kill fleas and ticks. They put it on the back of my neck where I can't lick it off and IT STINKS!

They put some on me this morning, so I had to run around and around in the snow to try and get rid of the smell. See my pawprints going around in circles?

The humans said it's because I hang around near squirrels and foxes and things and because spring is coming (fleas like warm weather apparently). YUCK!

forget global warming ...

... it's 'global cooling' here in the UK.

It's gone and snowed again despite my pictures of Spring flowers last week. Quite confusing all these weather fluctuations.


p.s. the girl human if off to France on Thursday to go skiing - I wonder if the boy human will remember to feed me?

It's good to chew

A few cool cats have commented that I look like I've lost a bit of weight since I've been on my diet - love you guys.

Here's another Faztastic diet tip for those of you watching their waist lines.

Chew.

It's simple. Chew anything you can find and it will take your mind off you rumbling tummy for at least 2 seconds.

chew fingers, ears and ankles

It's raining at Forty Paws

I am so excited.

My lovely friends at Forty Paws http://fortypaws.blogspot.com/ asked me to wrap up some rain and post it to them in Texas because we've had so much here in London.

I couldn't do that sadly (for three reasons).

1. I don't have opposable thumbs so I get quite tangled in the sticky-tape when I try and wrap up parcels and then it gets stuck in my fur.

2. I don't go anywhere near the post office because it's down near the train station which is right smack in the middle of the territory belonging to my arch-nemesis (Hefty Tabby).

3. I don't have money for stamps.

but what I did do was run into the garden and sang a little song ...

"Rain, rain go way, spend time with Forty Paws today"

... and it worked, yippee, it worked. Enjoy your rain Forty Paws - FAZ

It didn't go well ...

...I tried to tell the humans that I couldn't get outside but they didn't understand.

Hefty tabby was sitting right outside the cat flap all night and wouldn't let me out. I jumped up on the bed to try to wake them up and let them know but they just ignored me (I think they thought I was after more food).

In the end I was so desperate from crossing my legs that I had to go into the shower and 'pee' down the plug hole. It was only then the humans realised the problem and chased hefty tabby out of the garden.

I really, really hope he stays away tonight. FAZ

Spring is here!

Humans are Disgusting

I discovered something really unpleasant about humans today which certainly explains a lot.

As you know, cats bathe constantly and are always checking to make sure they are clean (especially between their toes, their tummies and their "you know wheres").

Humans on the other hand only bathe, on average, once a day. Yuck! No wonder they smell different and have to put on hissy deodorant.

I'd move out if it wasn't for the food and the nice warm laps to sleep on. FAZ

Scared Cat

This is not a picture of me, but this is exactly how I felt when I heard a hissing noise this morning. I thought it was another cat in my house - I jumped off the bed - primed - ready for fight or flight - fur standing up in every direction.

Then I realised it was the girl human putting on deodorant. Sometimes I don't know why I live with these people!

Here's my tummy for T-cubed Toosday - as you can see it's getting slightly smaller since I've been on my diet.

I am also feeling a little self-conscious in this picture, as I am aware this isn't a very lady-like pose and I am conscious that I need to be less of a 'tomboy'.

Barking Mad!

We had a luna eclipse on Saturday night. The moon slowly disappeared and then it went orange and then it came back. Then a dog started barking and before you knew it about 5 dogs were barking. At that point I went inside feeling a bit discombobulated ...

... I am not one of those cats that likes change (I'm not too keen on dogs either). FAZ

Whoops!

I had a rather embarrassing accident this morning.

I chased cheeky squirrel up the big tree in the garden (it's the one in the middle of the picture below). I followed him all the way to the skinny top branches and then he jumped out of my reach onto another tree. That's when the problem started - I couldn't work out how to get down.

I started meowing very loudly to try and attract attention, which worked because the girl human came out to see if I was okay. Unfortunately she couldn't really do anything to help as I was too high up.

So, I started backing down the branch and got down about 10 feet and then I sort of fell the rest of the way. Not very elegant. The worse bit was that the girl human started laughing. I couldn't see anything to laugh at, so I put my tail up in the air and walked off across the garden like it was all perfectly normal and I hadn't made a complete fool of myself.

Honestly, the indignities I have to suffer ...
