Now, let me think ...

Handsome Dragonheart tagged me for a meme last week, it's quite a tough one so I've spent a bit of time on it. Here it is and apologies to Dragonheart for the delay.
Favourite season? I'm a Cat for all Seasons
Favourite colours? Mouse Grey
Favourite room? The sitting room, there's lot of snuggly places to sleep including my basket.
Do you like dogs? Some dogs are nice but some aren't.
Ever been in an airplane box? No.
Do you have to get bathed? Yes, but I do it myself.
Are you in love? Yes, with Luscious Little Mice, but I get the distinct impression that they don't love me back.
Where would you like to travel to? I travel a lot but I have never been to the other side of Hefty Tabby's territory for obvious reasons - I think I would like to see what is over there. Apparently there are a lot of humans in white clothes who play a game with a ball that they hit with a tennis bat.
What do you ignore? I pretend to ignore Hefty Tabby but I am actually quite scared of him if the truth be known.
How many lives have you used up? One or two, I'm not 100% sure.
Do you have any dark secrets? Don't tell the humans but there is a mouse loose in the hall cupboard (it might be dead or it might have escaped by now).
What is your favourite holiday? I am a bowl half-full type of cat, so every day is like a holiday to me.
Water or milk? Water, cats aren't supposed to drink cows' milk.
Why do you blog? As the famous Philosopher Nietzche the Cat said "I think therefore I blog".
Are you into extremes? I once competed in an extreme sleeping contest with myself. I won!
Favourite TV shows? Don't know, TV is not my thing.
Are you a pesty lap cat? No not really, but I hope to be when I am older and need the warmth on my old bones.
Inside or outside cat? 100% of both.
What makes you happy? Sleeping, when my humans coming home from work, Luscious Little Mice, a nice full tummy, scritches, lots of things really.
Your most embarrassing moment? Getting cornered by Hefty Tabby then having to pretend I wasn't scared.

That's it really, if there is anyone left to tag - IT'S YOU!

Flattery will get you everywhere

I've been honoured twice this week by two of my very favourite bloggers Skittles and Empress Bee for being a Rockin' Girl Blogger but the best bit is I get to nominate some other Rockin' Girl Bloggers as well.

Here they are:
Maria is in the throes of producing a play in New York and still finds the time to blog and tell us how things are progressing.
Pearl is a very shy, ladylike young cat who moved to the UK all the way from the US. She tells us how she copes with life in her new (wet) home.
You really have to see this beautiful and elegant blogsite for yourself. Grace Bonney is a furniture design consultant who shares the most beautiful designs of every shape, colour and form - from furniture to fabric.
Daisy is an exceptionally talented and curious cat who has loads of exciting adventures. She is also very pretty.
She's mad, she's bad and she's dangerous to know - so go over and meet her.
Finally, I have to return the compliment to Skittles and Empress Bee who are definitely Rockin' Girl Bloggers - love FAZ

I blame global 'Climate Change'

Strange things are happening around here.

First of all it's supposed to be summer. This time last year we had a drought and now we're having terrible floods (especially in the North of England).

But, something even stranger has happened. Braer Fox has been appearing in the garden during the day time, he's only ever been around at night before. I have a rather shaky relationship with Braer Fox - we agree to stay out of each others way as much as possible. So, you can imagine my frustration, to have him sitting in MY garden - as bold as brass - in the middle of the day.

Here's a picture to prove his audacity. I truly hope this is a one off.

Fred and Ginger are back

Don't they look well?

They smell pretty much the same too!

What we need is a feast to celebrate their safe return.

Well guys, you better be quick if you want your share.

It feels like they've never been away.

The Big Storm

Lot's of people wondered where my head was yesterday (he, he, he). DON'T WORRY. It hasn't fallen off. It was outside and this is what I was looking at.

I was just checking if the booms and flashes and rain had stopped. As you can see, it was pretty wet and because it's been raining so much lately I have decided to do a list of all the things you can do when it's wet outside:
1. Sleep
2. Eat
3. Have cuddles and pats and scritches with the humans
4. errrr - I think that's it.

5 good things about having the humans back home

As much as I love Bob and Miriam, my cat sitters, here are 5 reasons why I love my regular humans.
1. they're always excited to see me when they come home from work or back from holiday.
2. there's always an available lap.
3. there's always someone to snuggle up with at night.
4. they're usually around to scare braer fox or hefty tabby out of the garden.
5. there's someone to dribble on when I get excited.

Happy Days!

The desert is hot

Fred and Ginger here, reporting from the Arizona Desert. As you can see there are loads of Rocks in the desert (which are good for lizards to hide behind). Daisy would like it here a lot.

This is us in a Native American tipi. We think we would like this lifestyle as we are very adventurous and don't need much in the way of creature comforts (you may need to biggify this picture to see us).

We saw this big bird in the distance, and Fred wanted to try and catch it for supper. When we got closer we realised it wasn't a bird at all. It was a Native American dancer.

We decide to pose for a photo on this cactus. OUCH! Big mistake.

But, the best bit by far, was the view over the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River. Isn't this a beautiful sight?

(well, apart from showing our bottoms).
We don't want to go home, except we really miss Faz.

Fun in the sun

Hi There, Fred and Ginger here. We are having such a nice time in Vegas. Here's the view from our suite, as you can see we're having a romantic moment watching the world go by.

Followed by cocktails at the Parasol Bar. Ginger usually finds one glass of champagne is enough, two just go straight to her head. Perhaps a visit to one of those little wedding chapels may be in order.

Here we are in the Venetian which is very near to our hotel. We're actually standing on the other side of the steps but we're a bit small to see in this photo.

And here we are in front of Treasure Island. Those pirates can be very scary when you're as small as we are.

The temperature today was 107 degrees and we're off to Arizona tomorrow which will probably be even warmer.
Wish you were all here (especially you Faz).

Fred and Ginger here in Las Vegas.

After a brief stop over in LA, we arrived on Monday at the glorious Wynn Hotel. No pets allowed but we snuck in by hiding in the luggage and tipping the porter not to tell anyone.

First night we went and saw Spamalot which was very funny and had lots of English accents so we felt right at home. Last night the humans went to the SW Steakhouse, whilst we stayed in the room and watched a movie. They did bring us a doggy bag (pardon the expression) with some lovely Kobe beef for our dinner.

This is us having breakfast in the Terrace Restaurant by the pool.

and here we are in front of the waterfall at the Wynn.

Tomorrow we're off to the Grand Canyon, so we will try and get some photos. It's not easy as we tried to get a photo in front of the Fountain at the Bellagio yesterday and Ginger nearly blew in. Fortunately, a very nice man caught her just in time (as she's not a very good swimmer).
Purr to Faz if she's reading this. Purr to everyone.

Hi Guys

Well I have to say I am having a lovely time with Bob and Miriam. Firstly, Bob is very, very good at scritches under the chin and Miriam likes to give me a BIG bowl of munchies to make sure I don't go hungry. This is the life.
I am still waiting to hear from Fred and Ginger. I know they arrived safely but still no pictures.

They've just left

I sat on the front step and watched them go. I'm bored already. I think I will go and see if there's any food in my bowl. I wonder what time Bob and Miriam arrive? Sigh FAZ

What a relief

I just found out that the home sitters are Bob and Miriam - I've had them before and they are really nice! Yippee

Purr FAZ

Counting down

Dear Pals, first of all there were two 'ginormous' bags of cat food in the hall when I got in yesterday evening - that's a relief!

But, just to be on the safe side, I decided yesterday to let a mouse loose in the hall cupboard in case I needed him for later in the week (thanks to Webmiztris for putting this idea into my tiny - but alert - brain).

Secondly, even though I won't be able to blog on my own, the humans have agreed to pack Fred and Ginger to take with them. I am hoping they will be able to send me pictures of their travels via the blog (technology allowing).

I do so hope Fred and Ginger are safe in that suitcase and enjoy the flight to LA tomorrow.

Essentials ... like food!

Well, the humans have started packing for their trip to LA and Vegas and they are getting the house ready for the cat sitters. I like the cat sitters very much, they are very nice to me and spoil me a lot more than the normal humans.

Then it suddenly occurred to me, the normal humans are going to be gone for 10 days! Will there be enough food? I had a look in the munchies bin and LOOK, it's more than half EMPTY!

I am going to have to point this out to them tonight so they can stock up before they leave.

The boy human has just pointed out that I am a S**T photographer (with apologies to my more delicate readers for the language) because the can of tuna below is out of focus.

Whad d'ya expect! I'm a CAT not Walker Evans! FAZ

Good and Bad

Look what I saw on the kitchen counter when I came in this morning for breakfast. I was so excited that I did my special tuna dance (it involves lots of meowing, purring, running around in circles and paddling with my paws - sort of like I am standing in very cold water).

Little did I know it was a TRAP! The humans were planning to give me my flea and tick medication. WHICH I HATE!

I tried to get away but it was too late. As you can see I am not very happy.

But the really good news is that Aunty Bee tagged me so I am going to do that to take my mind off the medicine. Here it is - you can only answer one word to each question (which is hard for me as I am notoriously loquacious).

Here's Fred

Can you see him hiding in the shoes? I picked orange shoes to hide him in as I thought it would be good camouflage.

And, here's a little mouse I left in the bathroom. I caught it from the overgrown garden two houses away. The girl human screamed when she went to clean her teeth last night before bed time.

They're mine

Bob and Miriam brought me these little cats back from Sicily (just off the coast of Italy). I call them Fred and Ginger. For some reason the humans put them up high on this shelf where I couldn't see them or play with them. Anyway, I worked out yesterday how to get up on this shelf and get them down.

Now the humans can't find them.

Can you see where Ginger is hiding? And they're still looking for Fred too.
He he he. Faz strikes again!

It's been raining for days BUT ...

today it's sorta sunny.

I am so happy about this that I am rolling and rolling and rolling. My favourite perfume is Eau de Grass.

Have a lovely weekend by dear blogging pals. FAZ
