I gatti di Roma

These cats live in three ruined Roman temples but they are well looked after. The sign is in English at the bottom. My humans went to visit them when they were in Roma recently.

When we were in Naples, we took a train to visit Pompeii and we saw a lot of dogs living in the ruins of Pompeii. They seemed well taken care of, not hungry. There were a lot of dogs!

What a great idea to look after those cats like that. Obviously the people of Rome love their cats...nice to know.

Interesting photos, Faz.

Rome is really great with homeless cats. I saw some of the cats of the Coliseum when I was there. There is a group of people who feed them with the help of donations.

It's so nice that some feral cats of Roma are taken care of by nice charitable people. Looks like a fun place to play:)

HEY! My mom knows those cats! She's been to Roma 3 times-without me! And she's met the little lady who feeds them, and put lots of euro into her donation can. I asked her if those cats could speak English, but she said that they were shy of strangers.

That's so cool. More people need to be cool about just letting cats hang out (as long as they're being taken care of).

We hope they have a place with a better roof for when it rains! Have you ever been to the Hemingway House down in the Florida Keys? They have free reign of the Hemingway Mansion, with servants! That Mr. Hemingway sure knew how to write a good will!
