Dear Faz, today we went in a duck

It's true, this is the duck we went in. It was built in America in 1942 as a beach landing craft. Maybe this wonderful craft served in one of the famous battles like Iwo Jima which helped to end WWII. Today it was used for a tour of Liverpool city on land and in water as we toured around the famous 19th century harbours.

This is the Liver Building behind us and the city of Liverpool. Liverpool was named after the red mud where they built the original city.

Here's another duck in the water behind us.

Thank you Fred and Ginger. You have put our minds at rest. Our Beans were in Liverpool in the summer, and they said they had been in a duck too. We have been scared ever since because we thought they meant a duck tried to eat them, but now we have seen your photos, we know what they meant.

Wow! That's a really big duck! I have never ridden a duck and I'm not sure I'd like to. I did not know that Liverpool was named after the mud!

At first I thought your duck was like our duck which goes on the street. It's actually a tour of Seattle. It's quite fun.

We have a duck like this in London and I went on it in the summer, was great fun!

Haha! We have Duck Boats, too! http://www.bostonducktours.com/
They are all different colours! I think Boston started it first, then other cities followed! I have also seen them in Pittsburgh, as well as in (my fav) Salem, MA. Moby Duck! :D

Fazziekins, I am glad you did not go on this water ship thing. It looks wet and up and down-ish. I do not like that!

Buckettyfazkins, you are a sweet girl. Stay warm. You are loved by me.

I saw one of those in New Zealand, but it was in army camouflage colours rather than bright yellow. Funny looking thing it was.

Interesting duck. I agree with 'cat with a garden' - your parents are having lots of fun without you..maybe you could trash the house a little as payback..

I gave you a couple of awards that you can pick up when your hoomans return :)
