Right, I've had enough of this. I am off to show Mr Ginger who's boss and exactly who owns this garden.

Wordless Wednesday - Two Beaches
Explanation: Beach No. 1 (pebbles) is where we live in St Leonards on Sea on the South Coast of England and Beach No. 2 (sand) is where my girl human was born in Australia. She loves both beaches equally.

Scotney Castle and the cats
Last weekend the humans went to see Scotney Castle which was owned by a lovely lady called Betty who adored her cats. Throughout the house you can see cats everywhere; in photographs, drawings and mementos. When she died in her 90s (2 years ago) she insisted her cat 'Puss' should live in the castle until his death. The house and grounds were given to the National Trust by Betty's late husband who now take care of 'Puss' and he still has the run of this beautiful house. I wonder if he is allowed to sharpen his claws on the antique furniture?
Unfortunately the humans didn't get to see 'Puss' whilst they were visiting (we think he was having a snooze) but they did see his statue in the fountain (scroll down to see 'Puss' - or one of his ancestors - catching a fish).

£34 for The Cats Protection League
Well done everyone you were brilliant. The only critter that got it 100% right was the lovely and (clearly) intelligent Karen Jo.
There were lots of close ones though so thank you everyone for entering into the spirit of things and helping us raise the money for a good cause.
The answers are:
1. White Rhino
2. Alpaca (with a haircut)
3. Gibbon
4. Meerkat
5. Mongoose
