The amazing travelling cat

Missing cat Clyde disappeared for three long years and was found 2,400 miles across land and sea from his Tasmanian home

A nurse found Clyde wandering at a hospital in the remote Queensland state town of Cloncurry and cared for him for four months before taking him to a local vet as she was leaving town and could not take him with her.

The vet, Donna Weber, traced Clyde's owner from his identification microchip and he was reunited with his delighted family.

Srsly... the thought of getting lost 2400 miles from home just makes my furs stand on end. That's why I never move off our patio.

Cheerio, Faz.

We just read this in the news and were amazed the cat was ever reunited. Someone must have moved the cat there -- catnapped it or adopted it thinking it was a stray. Wonderful it was reunited with its owner after all that time and mileage.

I love that this story made it all the way over to you, Faz! Clyde should share his story with the world... it would make a great telemovie.

Awwwwww Fazziebucketkins, your silly kitten is very cute, oh goodness, *gigglespurrgiggles* I know you are having fun. Enjoy that kitten, so they grow and learn all sorts of naughty things, like stealing your food, your bed and your toys!

Wow, that's a long way from home, and a long time to be away. Thankfully Clyde was microchipped.
