Early snow this year and Birks loves it

But me, I am smart enough to stay in bed.

This is how I visualised Birks after he stole my breakfast

he is in BIG trouble if I catch him.
And that's a promise.

Excuse me Faz.

What are you going up there on that window ledge?
Can I join you?

Bob and Miriam have been adopted

Bob and Miriam very kindly catsit me and Birks when the humans are away.  They are so kind to us and  now it seems they have been adopted by another cat called Cooky who loves to spend some quality time with them.  Cooky sure has good taste.

Afternoon Tea at the Bingham

Scones and cakes and smoked salmon sandwiches and guess who gets to eat a piece of smoked salmon saved especially?  Yay!  Faz the Cat of course.

p.s. Birks got some too.

The famous underground artist Banksy has turned up near our house at St Leonards on Sea.  Apparently he's making a political statement about shopping malls building indiscriminantly along the coast or such like.  Birks and I don't care what happens as long as they sell our favourite brand of pet food.

Who says we cats are selfish?

On Holiday

In the North of England near Clitheroe, deep in the Ribble Valley, we discovered a steep stone ladder ...

that led to this little foot bridge ...

that led to this pretty river ....

that led to this weir ...

that led to this face carved into an old tree and surround by ivy

that eventually led to this old castle

Where am I, Faz, whilst the humans are exploring?
Why, home asleep in the sun of course.
Cheers my dears.

Sorry we're not around

The girl human is working everyday at Wimbledon for the next two weeks driving the players, VIPs and press.  She has already had some famous tennis players in her car and watched the No.1 seed 'knocking up' on the practice courts.  Tennis heaven.

Mancat Monday - Do you like my bells?

They used to belong to Faz and are supposed to scare off the little birds but they don't always work.

Where's the colour chart?

I want to check this is the right colour white before I finish my bath. Today I am going for dove white.

Wimbledon Common

I love the pond on Wimbledon Common, especially this time of year when all the irises are dressed in their finest yellow petals.  The ducklings are nearly fully grown but still don't stray too far from their mum - smart little ducklings - one never knows when FAZ the CAT is out and about looking for duckling dinner.

Queen Elizabeth the Birks

Sorry this is a bit out of focus (humans are useless!) but here is Birks posing in his new Elizabethan collar (or could it be that he's just got his head stuck in some tissue paper?)

Faz on Flowers

I like flowers.  Flowers attract buzzy bees, insects and butterflies.  Buzzy bees, insects and butterflies attract birds who like to eat them.  I like to eat buzzy bees, insects, butterflies and birds - I'm not so fussy.

Smell this

Further to my blog post below, a lot of pusscats mentioned they loved the smell of ham. Me too, so this picture is for all my cat pals who love ham but - remember - no drooling on the screen or keyboard, the humans don't like it.

Wine - I don't get it?

The humans seem to like this stuff.  I had a sniff and, to be frank, it doesn't smell very tempting.  So, I decided to make a list of my top ten favourite smells:

1.  Fish
2.  Dead Mice
3.  Dead Birds
4.  Catnip
5.  Most types of cat food
6.  The plughole in the bathroom
7.  The top of Birk's head
8.  Grass
9.  Sticks
10.  Slippers

Good list huh?

Excellent - fish for supper!

This is one of the beach launched fishing vessels coming into land after a morning's fishing at Hastings.  Mackerel, cod, brill, turbot, flounder and dabs to name a few.  Yum, Yum.  The humans use the book below, but I am happy with mine uncooked.  FAZ

Look closely

Can you see the albino squirrel in the tree?
He's looking right at me.
