Dear Friends

Birks here.  Just thought I would let you know that Faz hasn't been very well.  She has a sore tummy and won't eat (even her favourite foods) because it makes her throw-up.  She went to the vet yesterday and they think she might have gastric flu so they gave her an injection and the humans have to give her Zantac three times a day.  Faz is getting quite thin and is even more bad tempered than usual but I hope she gets better.

Purrs from me - Birkenhead the squeaker cat.

Uh oh! We hope she feels better very soon. It's not IBD, is it? A food allergy? Her blood work is okay?

Sending purrs and healing vibes!

I can't find an email address...About a possible food allergy--every cat is different. Some have allergies to certain proteins, other to grains. A few years ago, before I had the boys and after Chumley died, I switched Annie's dry food. A month later she got sick. Spent huge dollars at the vet, with no diagnosis and the vet figured she had IBD. I finally thought that perhaps it was the new food and sure enough, once Annie was off it and back to her regular food, she was fine. In the meantime, she had spent a month on prednisone and had had various tests, etc.

About the blood work: If you haven't had a full panel run, I would recommend it just to rule things out.

I really think you have to advocate for your Cat with vets--most are pretty good, but they don't know everything and only you know your Cat best. If you want to email me, you can reach me at keas.fuzzy.tales@gmail.com.

Good luck!
