Could this be my sister?

She's nearly as attractive as me.

Poor little piggies

We were very sad to see two of these little wild boars dead on the side of the road when we were driving back from Hastings yesterday.  Their poor mummy must be missing them dreadfully.  Fortunately this little guy was rescued from a similar incident.

Dear drivers please take care on the roads, don't drive too fast and look out for little humans and all types of animals.

p.s. don't you think he looks a bit like Birks (only cuter)

I am laughing so much I think I will split.

Birkenhead has just been to the vet and they told him he needed to start watching his weight. Apparently he has gone from 4.2kg to 4.6kg in just 12 months. Consequently the humans have put him on a diet. In fact he is so embarrassed he wouldn't let me show you a picture, so this is only a visual representation.

Birkenhead blames the fact that he has been locked in cat clink for a month whilst the humans were on holiday. Obviously I continue to maintain my perfect (if somewhat curvaceous) figure.

(p.s. I would provide a links to the producers of these fine images
but can't find the originals so thanks to both.
If you know who you are let me know and I will be happy to do this.)

Fred and Ginger

The humans took Fred and Ginger with them when they went to Australia and left us at home! But they told us Ginger ignored the sign and lost the end of her tail!!!!

Can Cats read?

I got out of cat clink to find out one of my humans has written a book for Amazon's Kindle. He tells me if you download it and make him rich he will give me extra munchies.

So please help me and Birkenhead out our tummies are rumbling

p.s. apparently it is a bit scary so not for scaredy cats!

Sorry we haven't been around

We've been in the Cat Clink whilst the humans have been here - Surfers Paradise Australia - they're back now and they broke us out on the weekend.  It was just like a scene from Prison Break (without all the tattoos). We're so happy to see them and Birks and I are both glad not to be eating any more of that prison food. FAZ

A heart warming story

This post has been borrowed with thanks from the London Underground blog

The Big Issue Cat by Suff n Nonsense
The Big Issue Cat by Stuff n Nonsense

There's a Big Issue seller who has a pitch in the afternoons outside Angel Tube station.

A while ago, he found a stray cat with a badly bust up leg, so being a kindly soul, he took the cat along to an animal shelter to get it sorted out. He wasn't expecting them to tell him when the cat was healed, he was to take the cat back with him - but that's what they said and that's what happened.

The cat became incredibly attatched to its rescuer and would try to follow the man whenever he went out. Realising that cats do what they want, the man gave up trying to get the cat to stay home and allowed it to come with him and these days the cat will be sat outside the station as the man sells copies of the magazine, calmly guarding the takings and
posing for photos.

Tempting Telly Treats ?

Regular readers of my blog will know I am particularly fond of birds but - blow me down - how does one get the darn thing out of the telly and into one's tummy? I have been working on this problem now for over and hour and I still can't figure it out!

Me and Bumble (the iron hedgehog) having a drink.

Bumble doesn't say much but he's still good company.

Kissing a frog

Look what Birks bought in this morning for breakfast.
He didn't get to eat it though - the humans rescued it
and put it back outside somewhere safe.

Honestly, why he can't just stick to the birdies
or the stuff in pouches and tins is beyond me!

Scary birds

I think I am starting to get a bad reputation where birds
are concerned.
Someone sent me the attached
It is very scary!

Kitten survives hour in Aberdeen washing machine spin

Kitten survives hour in Aberdeen washing machine spin
An eight-week-old kitten has survived after being stuck in a washing machine cycle for an hour in Aberdeen.

Susan Gordon, owner of Princess, assumed she was elsewhere but the washing machine door opened to reveal her bedraggled and clinging to jeans. Princess was taken to vets and spent three nights being treated for her injuries. The kitten is now said to be fine, with no lasting damage from her washing machine ordeal. Judy Drysdale, senior veterinary surgeon from the Vets Now at Ardene House, said "Princess arrived at the clinic very shaken up and shivering, with a nose bleed and sore eyes.
"But her owner had managed to dry her off very well prior to bringing her in to the clinic.
"Princess was admitted to the hospital for emergency care, which included oxygen, and pain relief for her bruised body. "She was also placed on heat pads to bring her core temperature up to normal."

Not so easy

This was easy enough to unravel, but not so easy to wind back up again for some reason - whoopsy!

Don't you know it's breakfast time and I am hungry?

It's raining ...

but in my head I am sunbathing.
Have a grand weekend everyone - whatever the weather.

I don't see the problem ...

Nobody told me it was your lunch for work - I though it was just sitting there waiting for me to unwrap it and eat it?

Happiness is a good scritch under the chin

Dear Friends, sorry we haven't been blogging much lately but the girl human has a new job and longer working hours so she's prioritising food and scritches over blogging - which is okay by me.

In the current climate (if we have to cut back on something) I certainly don't want to cut back on food and scritches.  I will nag her to try and get her act together re visiting all our blogging pals though.

Hugs for now.

Come back little duckies, I didn't really mean it.

We've been busy

We've been on holiday and then I went to cat hospital for a little op (nothing serious though - in fact the poor veterinary nurse came off worse than I did).

Oh no! Not the dentist!

Apparently I have to have a couple of extractions - I don't get it - I regularly clean my teeth and use a reputable tooth paste but still the dentist says I have a bit of gingivitis.  I know I've got a bit of gingervitis on my furs but I've also got blackervitis and whitervitis too.
